"Certification"- what it means to you: For most of our technical staff, certification means they have gone to technician school for two to four years of rigorous academic and practical training. They have passed certification exams and are licensed. They are responsible for all exam room and outpatient diagnostic tests, pharmaceuticals, blood drawing, bandages, IV’s, injections, wound care, emergency triage and stabilization, anesthesia, dentistries, assisting in surgery, client education, behavior, care of ICU and isolation patients and overseeing the assistant staff. They carry out the treatments and alert the doctors of any change with the patients. They are qualified to answer most questions about a pet’s condition or problem. |
