THE TECHNICIAN ASSISTANTS
Our technician assistants have the most varried job in the hospital. The are responsible for admitting all boarding pets and mentoring the pet-care assistants in their day-to-day care. They help the technicians with exams and diagnostic tests, including x-rays and lab work. They assist with surgery, anesthesia and post-op recovery. The health, care and well being of Barnside's hospital pets are also the technician assistants' responsibility. When extra help is needed, then can be found at the reception desk, assisting clients with their pet care needs. The wearing of so many hats is no easy task, yet our technician assistants excel with care, expertise and cheerfulness.
Dale Levitt
Dale is currently enrolled at Rutgers University. He works at Barnside during the summer and school breaks. Dale is involved in several research projects at school and is interested in pursing a dual degree in veterinary medicine and a PhD, with a career goal of science and medicine research.
